USA Mobile Proxies: Verizon vs AT&T vs T-Mobile — Which Carrier Should You Choose?
How US 4G mobile proxies work, the real differences between Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile IPs, and which carrier suits social media, scraping, ads and e-commerce. Dedicated US proxies from $5/day.
The United States has the strictest anti-bot systems in the world. US social networks, marketplaces, ticketing sites and ad platforms all treat datacenter and cheap residential IPs with suspicion — which is why serious users switch to US mobile proxies. But which carrier should you choose: Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile? Here's what actually matters.
Why US mobile proxies work
Every US carrier puts its mobile customers behind CG-NAT: large numbers of real phones share each public IP address. When a website sees traffic from a Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile mobile IP, it knows that blocking it would also block genuine customers — so it almost never does. (Read more about CG-NAT.)
That gives mobile IPs the highest trust of any proxy type, and it's the same for all three carriers. The differences between them are smaller than most sellers suggest.
Verizon vs AT&T vs T-Mobile at a glance
| Verizon | AT&T | T-Mobile | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type of IP | US mobile carrier IP | US mobile carrier IP | US mobile carrier IP |
| Trust with websites | High | High | High |
| Network style | Large nationwide 4G/5G network | Large nationwide 4G/5G network | Large 5G network, heavy use of IPv6 |
| Good fit for | Social media, ads, general use | Social media, e-commerce, general use | Apps and sites that favour IPv6, everyday mobile traffic |
All three are major nationwide networks with huge numbers of subscribers, so none of them is "flagged" as a proxy carrier. What matters far more is how you use the IP — and whether anyone else is using it too.
How to choose
1. Match your audience
If your target users are on a particular network — or you're testing how a site behaves for a particular carrier's customers — choose that carrier. For most people, any of the three works.
2. Keep each account on one carrier
Platforms notice when an account's connection keeps changing. An Instagram or TikTok account that logs in through Verizon on Monday and T-Mobile on Tuesday looks less natural than one that always uses the same network. Pick a carrier per account and stick with it.
3. Match the state where it matters
Location can matter for local search results, regional pricing, ticketing and some marketplaces. We run US proxies in more than one state — tell us the region you need and we'll confirm what's available.
4. Consider IPv6
T-Mobile in particular carries a lot of traffic over IPv6. Our proxies are dual stack — you get the carrier's IPv4 address and native mobile IPv6 — so sites that prefer IPv6 also see you as a genuine mobile user, whichever carrier you pick.
Which carrier for which job?
- Social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook): any carrier — consistency matters more than the network. See our TikTok guide.
- Web scraping: any carrier; rotate between batches with your rotation link. See scraping proxies.
- Ads and ad verification: match the carrier and region you're targeting, if you can.
- E-commerce and marketplaces: keep each seller account on one carrier and one region.
- Sneakers and tickets: spread tasks across several proxies and rotate between tasks. See sneaker proxies.
Dedicated vs shared US mobile proxies
This matters more than the carrier you choose.
- Shared proxies put several customers on one modem. If another user gets the IP flagged, it's flagged for you too — and speeds drop when they're busy.
- Dedicated proxies give you your own modem and SIM. The IP's reputation is yours alone, and so is the bandwidth.
Every ProProxies plan is dedicated.
